| NEW REGULATION ON SEALS TO / IN TRANSIT TO THE UNITED STATES | 02/09/2008 |
| Due to the new regulation implemented by U.S. Customs and Border Protection to strengthen controls for all existent maritime transport with cargo bound for / in transit to the United States, we would like to inform you that all containers destined to / in transit to / via this country, should contain a seal under the norms of the ISO/PAS 17712 Standard. This seal is an additional Customs requirement. Please note that the ship loaders are responsible for allocating these seals in accordance with the mentioned norms, as well as sending all Shipping Instructions with the respective seal number. If we can not find the seal number on the shipping instruction, the cargo will not be loaded. This norm will take effect as of immediately, starting with the following vessels: • MSC Kyoto 4R • MSC Chelsea 65R |
